Born from chaos,
built on transparency
FlyxNodes didn't start as a company. It started as an idea, a necessity, and a strong desire to learn by doing.
The Beginning: From the Ashes of Disaster
It all started simply, but with a chaotic catalyst. We were part of the technical team at a hosting company (let's call it "Lince").
Lince suffered a critical blow: a massive infrastructure hack that resulted in total data loss for hundreds of users.
Beyond the technical failure, the real problem was the administrative response. We faced micromanagement, lack of rapid response, no monitoring, unethical treatment of staff (treated more as tools than collaborators), and leadership that prioritized arbitrary sanctions over solving root problems.
After questioning these practices and proposing a more honest and professional path, we were expelled for "not following orders."
We were left with nothing but a lesson learned: hosting doesn't have to be a toxic or unstable environment.
What We Learned from What NOT to Do
Although that project still exists, our experience there served as an "anti-manual." From their mistakes, we extracted the pillars that define FlyxNodes today:
Real Support
Not looking for blame in user code. Support is a technical ally, not a bureaucratic obstacle.
Serious Security
Security isn't a luxury. We invest in standards that protect our clients' investments.
Respect & Freedom
Passion for hosting is born from creative freedom, not pressure.
From Experiment to Reality
With that chapter closed, we decided it was time to do things our way. The first step was leveraging a VPS from the famous $300 Google Cloud Platform (GCP) trial.
That environment was our laboratory; there we learned what it really means to maintain 24/7 online services without depending on obsolete management philosophies.
We started offering services to friends and close communities, proving that transparency generates more trust than any promise of "infinite uptime" without foundations.
The Turning Point: Our Own Infrastructure
The GCP trial had an expiration date, and with it came the moment of truth: Was FlyxNodes a hobby or a real bet?
We chose to bet.
We migrated to our own infrastructure, fully paid, under our absolute control. This allowed us to:
- Eliminate intermediaries and have total control of the environment
- Plan resources realistically and scalably
- Guarantee genuine commitment to the continuity of each hosted project
FlyxNodes Now
Today FlyxNodes continues growing with firm steps. We don't compete in "who sells more smoke," but in who offers the most solid service. We focus on:
Total Transparency
No fake plans or fine print
Continuous Improvement
Every past lesson becomes an optimization
Technical Passion
Same enthusiasts, now with maturity
Why "FlyxNodes"?
The name came from a Discord bot we saw called "Flyx." We thought FlyxNodes sounded good because it also resembles "Fly" and "Fix" — exactly what we do: we help projects take flight and fix what's broken.
Looking Forward
FlyxNodes is more than hosting. It's the technical and human response to a bad experience. It's a project built on difficult decisions, but with a clear goal: to keep growing, offering the service that we, as users, always wanted to find.
